ChatGPTCast is YouTube for ChatGPT, the platform will show live and recorded videos with people showing how they use ChatGPT to solve simple and complex problems. OpenAI's ChatGPT is an AI chatbot created using OpenAI's GPT-3 language models and fine-tuned through supervised and reinforcement learning. Launched as a prototype in November 2022, it quickly gained attention for its articulate responses across various domains. However, its uneven factual accuracy has been identified as a major drawback. ChatGPT was valued at US$29 billion in 2023 after its release. The model was fine-tuned on top of GPT-3.5 with human trainers in both supervised and reinforcement learning. The supervised learning approach involved trainers playing both the user and AI assistant in conversations. In the reinforcement learning step, trainers ranked previous responses to create 'reward models' that the model was further fine-tuned on using Proximal Policy Optimization (PPO) iterations. The models were trained in collaboration with Microsoft on their Azure supercomputing infrastructure. OpenAI continues to collect feedback from ChatGPT users through upvotes, downvotes, and text fields. This data could be used to improve and refine the model in the future.
